Warehouse Facade, South Bronx
AMPOPS prepared this design for a long-neglected warehouse in a South Bronx manufacturing district. The owner, who has held the building for decades, wanted a renewed street presence that still honored its industrial past. The proposal focuses almost entirely on the facade, treating it as a surface for material and craft. Brick and steel were chosen for durability and for the raw industrial character of its working-class history. Rather than erase the building's age, the new envelope embraces its patina, a modest approach to preservation through familiar materials.
