AMPOPS renovated this Upper East Side kitchen, turning a once-enclosed corner into the social heart of the home. The design is functional and composed rather than grand. Custom cabinetry wraps the perimeter, and a carefully proportioned island invites movement around and through it. A floating shelf frames the cooktop and sink, defining the kitchen while keeping it open to the living space. Natural light washes across the surfaces and softens the edge between cooking and gathering. The result supports daily routines with precision while staying calm, a place not just to cook but to gather.
